Mark Konnert
Mark Konnert is Head of the History Department at the University of Calgary, where he has taught and researched since 1989. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, he holds a Ph.D. in European history from the University of Southern California. His research specialty is in sixteenth-century France, especially the urban and religious history of the period of the religious wars. An award-winning teacher, he has published numerous books and articles on these topics and on early modern Europe more generally.
